Strange Behaviour

It suddenly occurred to me that it might be fun to sleep in the food tray.

So, I moved a thick layer of wood chips on top of the nuts and curled up like a shrimp on the whole pile.  I laid down so comfy that I simply didn't want to move at all.

It is very strange for a hamster to do so because we usually hide away in a shelter.  I have never let myself expose in the open for so long before.  Ausone was very happy at first because she could stroke my back as long as she liked and see how relaxed I was.  But after two days she was appalled to find a lot of my poo mixed up with the food.

I was chased away and all the dirty stuff in the tray was discarded.  My life then got back to normal.  Perhaps it is better to sleep inside the tree trunk after all.
